Educational activities
Guidelines
In 2004, the “educational activities” committee of the federation of writers' houses and literary heritages conceived a guide (only in French available) about activities set up in and by the writers’ houses towards schools, from nursery schools to universities, to help young people discover the literary collections.
This document is designed for every people interested in transmitting the literary heritage to school boys and girls in an efficient and attractive way: members of writers’ houses, teachers, and also for everyone participating to such activities for young people, linked with literary collections. It has three aims:
- to inform the reader about what is done in a selection of writers’ houses,
- to arouse thinking: some slides present a critical analysis of the activities and pushes the reader to think about it,
- to invite to individual action: the elements given can help anyone to set up new projects.
It is a really practical guide, with a livret méthodologique (in PDF – only in French available) presenting the whole work, and three series of slides: récapitulatif des 3 séries (in PDF- only in French available).
The "A" series is presenting the general framework and how to set up an educational activity in a writer's house.
The "B" and "C" series include slides about educational activities (B) or equipments (C) in each house or place.
The paper edition still exists and can be ordered in: other publications.
